The concept behind Bureau Lamar began with the truly unique land plot it sits on. The plot is defined by a fluid, arc-shaped perimeter, creating a rare architectural opportunity for a landmark structure that naturally follows the site's elegant curvature. Its boundaries extend along multiple sides, with a prominent sweeping edge exceeding 350 meters, and a secondary edge exceeding 200 meters, reinforcing a strong visual presence and maximizing exposure.
This plot represents a rare confluence of scale, geometry, and location, a crescent-form, high-visibility development site within one of Dubai's most commercially dynamic districts. Its unrestricted vertical potential, sweeping frontage, and panoramic outlooks collectively position it as an ideal canvas for a signature architectural landmark.
Bureau Lamar's architecture is designed to maximize the project's prime location and unmatched views of the Dubai Water Canal. High floor-to-ceiling glass in excess of 4 meters is planned across the project's clustered towers to ensure iconic panoramic views.
Bureau Lamar is targeting WELL Building Standard, LEED certification, and a high ranking WiredScore by incorporating smart building management systems as well as sustainability, wellness, and technology measures.
This was a key component of Lamar Development's selection of Jun'ya Ishigami as the project's architect following a design competition which included award-winning global architects such as Herzog & de Meuron, Barozzi Veiga, Valerio Olgiati and Studio KO.
